THE WEST END (SAN ANTONIO)
Kicking things off with arguably the most popular strip on the island, the iconic and infamous West End may not have quite the same traffic as it did in its heyday, but it still has a massive presence in our home of San Antonio. Being just a 5-minute walk from Ibiza Rocks Hotel, we always recommend it as a spot for a fun-filled, affordable night out. Every genre is covered here, meaning there’s something for everyone, with plenty of fast food options offering that essential post-night-out snack.
And although not part of the West End, just a stone’s throw away, you’ll find the likes of Ibiza Rocks Bar, Itaca, and Linekers, providing a beachfront option from day well into night.
THE SUNSET STRIP (SAN ANTONIO)
In contrast to the West End, San Antonio also boasts the equally famous Sunset Strip. The clue is in the name — if you want to witness the best sunset in the world, this is where to go. Home to Café Mambo, where world-famous DJs play pre-parties from 9 pm, the beautiful Café del Mar, and, more recently, Space’s new ‘Eat & Dance’ restaurant.
Again, just a 5-minute walk from Ibiza Rocks Hotel. You can experience the Sunset Strip one of two ways: book a table at one of the restaurants for undisturbed views, or grab a few tinnies from the local supermercado and perch on the rocks just in front of the restaurants’ decking. The choice is yours! This spot is perfect for the last night of your holiday — get all emotional with your pals as the sun goes down.
Top tip: Check the sunset time each day and give yourself enough time to soak it all in!
PLAYA D’EN BOSSA
Heading over to the east coast of the island, you’ll find Playa d’en Bossa, home to iconic venues like Ushuaïa, Hï, and Hard Rock Hotel. If you walk north, you’ll come across what’s comparable to a ‘strip,’ with plenty of late bars and restaurants — the most popular being Tantra. If you’re staying in San Antonio, it’s probably not worth the 25-minute taxi ride unless you’re attending one of the superclubs.
IBIZA TOWN
More of an honorary mention, but an evening in Ibiza Old Town is an absolute must for your itinerary. It ticks all the boxes for fine dining, shopping, and sightseeing, but an underrated feature is the number of bars to enjoy, whether you’re on the waterfront overlooking the docked yachts or wandering the narrow streets.
IT’S WORTH NOTING…
If you’re solely after a typical ‘strip’ experience, Ibiza might not be the destination for you. Prices for food and drink tend to be a bit steeper than in other resorts, but Ibiza offers so much more when it comes to evening entertainment. The island is home to some of the world’s best superclubs, hosting headline DJs that you won’t find anywhere else.
